2024 FLX Junior League Program for ages 7-13
Join the Finger Lakes Golf Academy junior league! Your junior golfer will have the chance to get a taste for competitive golf at Ravenwood Golf Club and they do not need to have ever picked up a club! Juniors will play as a team in a scramble format on a shortened golf course.
Seasons offered:
Spring season is mid April - the beginning of June 2024
Fall season dates are TBA
Choose between 9 hole scramble PGA Junior league, or 4 hole scramble FLX House league.
9 hole scramble PGA Junior league is for children currently in grades 3rd-7th with junior league experience, or golf lesson experience
4 hole scramble FLX House league is for children currently in grades 1st-5th with or without junior league experience
Weekly golf practices with PGA Golf Professionals Lauren Tallman at Ravenwood Golf Club. Participants will learn fundamentals of golf such as:
Putting
Chipping
Full-Swing
Bunkers
Etiquette and safety
Team scramble matches at Ravenwood Golf Club
Team jersey, player welcome kit, and greens fees included in registration fee
Discounted U.S. Kids Golf Club orders through Ravenwood GC Pro Shop
2024 Spring Match and Practice Information
4 hole team scramble FLX House league (Recommended for children currently in grades 1st-5th with 1 year or less experience- ideal for players who are new to playing on the golf course). The length of the golf course is adjusted to allow players to hit the ball as close as possible on their tee shots, hit the ball close on their second shots, and MAKE BIRDIES!
4 hole rounds generally last 1.5-2 hours. A parent/guardian must remain with their child during the on-course rounds.

9 hole scramble PGA Junior league (Recommended for children currently in grades 3rd-7th with 1 year + on course experience or golf lesson experience). This is ideal for players who have played on the golf course before or in our junior league program before, and who have no trouble concentrating and staying independent for the entire 9 hole round.
9 hole rounds generally last 2-3 hours. A parent/guardian must remain with their child during the on-course rounds.

COVID-19 Notice
Safety Pre-Cautions are in place during all group activities.
We will be checking each child's temperature once they arrive to the putting green. If any students have a high temperature, we will ask them to stand in the shade. We will recheck their temperature 5minutes later. If the temperature is still concerning, they will be asked to go home.
Face masks are required when social distancing is not an option (example- putting games, learning station assignments and tasks, entering indoors for bathroom breaks etc).
Once players are all spaced out in their hitting stations, face masks are not required.
